Privacy and data use

This page explains what the checker asks for and how answers and basic usage events are handled.

No account required

The checker does not require an account, email address, identity document, or payment to start. The current report is free to use.

How answers are handled

Answers are used in the browser to filter results, and the result URL contains an encoded copy needed to render that page. Sharing the URL may reveal those answers, so check it before sharing. The app event payload does not include the answer values.

Basic usage events

The app may send basic events such as quiz start, answer, and report view to its event endpoint. The event includes an event name, page path, timestamp, and anonymous event properties so the service can be understood and improved.

Source sites and providers

Source links open external government, municipal, and public-organization sites. External sites, hosting, analytics, and payment providers have their own privacy policies and logs.

Before you share a result

A result URL contains encoded answer information needed to render the page. Before sending a result to someone else, check that household circumstances or income bands will not be revealed unintentionally. Close a result tab when you no longer need it, and avoid posting a result link publicly.

Keeping this explanation current

This page describes the current handling of answers, anonymous events, and links to external reference sites. We review the explanation when the app or its providers change. If you have a question about use or data handling, review this page first and do not send answers or personal information in a support request.
